Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026 | Last updated: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mateon (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit https://mateon.shop, place an order, create an account or contact our customer care team. We are the data controller for the information described here.
We keep this policy deliberately readable. If anything is unclear, write to ChayChatee608@gmail.com and we will explain it.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Order and delivery details – name, billing and shipping address, email address, telephone number, and any delivery instructions you provide.
- Account details – email address and password if you choose to create an account with us.
- Payment information – card payments are processed by our payment providers. We receive only a confirmation, a transaction reference and the last four digits of the card. We never store full card numbers on our servers.
- Communications – the content of emails, contact form submissions and support conversations with our team.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and usage data – IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and time on page.
- Cookies and similar technologies – see section 6 below.
Information from third parties
- Fraud-prevention and payment partners may tell us whether a transaction looks legitimate.
- Delivery partners provide tracking and delivery-confirmation data for your parcel.
2. How we use your information
- To process, pack, ship and invoice your order, and to send order and shipping confirmations.
- To handle returns, refunds and warranty enquiries.
- To provide customer care and answer your questions.
- To detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and unauthorised transactions.
- To comply with tax, accounting and consumer-protection obligations.
- To improve our store, product range and website performance.
- To send marketing emails, only where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom, or by writing to us.
Where required by law (for example under the GDPR), we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (processing your order), legal obligation (tax and accounting records), legitimate interests (fraud prevention and service improvement), and consent (marketing and non-essential cookies).
3. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our customer list. We share data only with the service providers who need it to do a specific job for us:
- Payment processors – to authorise and settle your payment securely.
- Shipping and logistics partners – to deliver your parcel and provide tracking.
- Email and hosting providers – to operate the store and send transactional messages.
- Analytics providers – to understand aggregate site usage.
- Professional advisers and authorities – where we are legally required to disclose information, or where disclosure is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
All processors act under contract and may use your data only for the purposes we specify.
4. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers may process data in other countries. Where personal data leaves the country in which it was collected, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses approved by the relevant authority.
5. How long we keep your data
- Order records – retained for as long as tax, accounting and consumer-protection rules require, typically seven years.
- Account data – retained while your account is open, and for a short period afterwards so you can reopen it without losing your history.
- Marketing consent records – retained until you withdraw consent, plus a short period to evidence the withdrawal.
- Support conversations – retained for up to three years so we can resolve repeat issues.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or irreversibly anonymise it.
6. Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use:
- Strictly necessary cookies – shopping cart contents, session identification and checkout security. The store cannot function without these.
- Preference cookies – remembering choices such as your country or currency.
- Analytics cookies – understanding which pages are used so we can improve them.
- Marketing cookies – measuring the performance of our advertising, where you have consented.
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent checkout from working.
7. Security
We protect your data with TLS encryption for all traffic to and from the store, encrypted storage of account passwords, restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis, and payment capture handled entirely by PCI-DSS compliant processors. No online transmission can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password for your account.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email ChayChatee608@gmail.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
California residents
California residents may request a list of the categories of personal information we have collected and disclosed in the preceding twelve months. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
Children’s privacy
Our store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Do-not-track signals
Because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret browser “do not track” signals, our store does not currently respond to them. We do honour opt-out preference signals where required by applicable law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The effective date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and material changes will be announced on this page.
