The Aisle Is Mostly Noise.

Walk down that aisle and you will find hundreds of products built around a marketing idea rather than a research paper. Proprietary blends that legally hide how little of the expensive ingredient is actually inside. “Clinically studied” ingredients at a tenth of the studied dose. We started Mateon because we kept failing to buy our own supplements. Every time we found a formula with the right ingredient, the dose was wrong. Every time the dose was right, the label was a proprietary blend that hid it. Every time both were right, the price had been inflated to pay for a celebrity endorsement.

So we built the opposite of that. Ten formulas, not a hundred. Every active present at the dose the human research actually used, printed in grams on the front of the label, in a range small enough that we can stand behind each one by name.

Three rules we do not break

Full doses, published. Every active in every formula is present at the dose used in human research, and every gram is printed on the label. If we cannot afford to dose it properly, we do not sell it.
Third-party tested, every batch. An independent laboratory verifies identity, potency, heavy metals, residual solvents and microbial safety. The certificate of analysis is issued against the lot number on your bottle – not a stock image of a certificate.
Ten products, not a hundred. Each formula is built for one job: hormone support, sleep, performance, longevity, everyday foundations. A range we can defend beats a catalogue we cannot.

How We Make It

Nothing here is exotic. It is just the sequence most brands skip when it costs money.

Qualify the raw material

Every lot of raw material is identified and assayed before it enters production. A supplier certificate on its own is not accepted as proof.

Produce in a cGMP facility

Formulas are manufactured in the United States in an FDA-registered, cGMP-certified facility, against a written batch record.

Test every batch independently

Finished product goes to a third-party laboratory for identity, potency, heavy metals, residual solvents and microbial safety – not a spot check, every batch.

Quarantine until results clear

Batches are held until the laboratory results come back. A batch that fails is destroyed rather than discounted, and never shipped.

Three Things That Would Be Easier

Each of these would cut our costs and raise our margins. Each one is also why people stop trusting supplement labels.

No proprietary blends

A blend is a legal way of listing ingredients without listing amounts. We do not use them anywhere, which means a competitor can read our label and copy it. That is fine.

No fairy dusting

Sprinkling a trace of an expensive ingredient to earn a place on the front of the label is standard practice. If a studied dose is 600 mg, we put in 600 mg or we drop the ingredient.

No borrowed science

Every study we reference was run on the ingredient we use, at the dose we use. If the research used a different form or a fraction of the dose, it does not go on our page.
